The double-stack 1911 comes from a long line of 1911 innovations. One thing everyone can agree on is the 4.25 and the 5-inch lengths are classic. Which one is better? It depends. If you are looking for cadilac suspension get the 5-inch. If you want a faster more aggressive gun the 4.25 is a race car. It is more aggressive but returns to zero like a champ. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
We offer a few options for finishes. DLC Black and Silver CRN are always available. Other options like Cerakote and PVD FDE are available when lead times allow. Coating is not done in-house and we do not control lead times. We will not allow a pistol to leave Race City Defense until it meets our exacting standards.
Porting is worth checking out if it’s legal for your division or makes sense for your purpose. While our guns are designed to shoot standard 9mm ammunition we recommend playing around with bullet weights and powders to get the most out of your porting.
